About the Role
Leckhampton Court Hospice is looking to recruit an inspirational and enthusiastic healthcare professional, who has the drive to embrace and enhance our Quality Improvement, Patient Safety and Governance programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is passionate about and dedicated to providing high quality palliative/end of life care to patients and their families enabling palliative patients to receive the very best holistic care and quality.
Reporting to and working closely alongside the Head of Clinical Services whilst supporting all Clinical Services; this is a lead role in supporting the development of quality initiatives/priorities, including Datix Management, audits, outstanding governance, CQC compliance and supporting the national Sue Ryder Strategy. You will also deputise for the Head of Clinical Services in their absence and be included in the clinical on call rota.
The highlights of the role include:
1. Drive a culture of continuous quality improvement demonstrated within a quality improvement plan and reported locally into the Quality Improvement Group and centrally into the Integrated Quality Performance report.
2. The post holder will provide clinical leadership within the Hospice to ensure clinical services meet relevant Care Standards Act, Environmental Standards and Health and Safety requirements incorporating best practice and service guidelines.
3. To provide clinical expertise to the inpatient and community services, supporting clinical governance, quality assurance, audit and quality improvement.
4. To actively lead and engage with patients and other service users to monitor outcomes and service satisfaction.
About you:
You will be a registered nurse with significant quality and governance experience within a similar setting. You will ideally hold management and teaching qualifications or the equivalent in experience. Registered Nurse with current holding effect NMC registration and educated to degree level or equivalent. Experience in speciality within a palliative care setting is desirable. Evidence of continuous professional development. Relevant management qualification (or equivalent experience). Recognised teaching / assessing qualification (desirable). Evidence of Quality Improvement training in healthcare is highly desirable. IT Literate - Microsoft 360 packages.
