Job Title: Conference Planner, Creative Journey & Branding
Location: Egham, Surrey, UK (1 day per week in office)
Job Type: Full-time contract, 12 months
Work Model: Hybrid
Willingness to travel approximately 30% globally
Summary:
Experienced member of the Global Creative Journey & Branding team with responsibility for branding experiences for a portfolio of internal and external global events. Plan and execute the creative and operational aspects of conferences with a focus on the development and creation of exceptional onsite attendee journeys through the production of all onsite event builds, digital platforms, signage, and branding across in-person events.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Lead the creative journey for Client's external and internal (corporate) events with a focus on impactful attendee (delegate, sponsors, and associates) journeys across the global portfolio through build and branding elements, and digital platforms.
2. Management of operational process, and project management through planning process and execution at internal and external client events both in-person and virtual.
3. Project manage the planning and implementation of signage, build, branding, furniture, and finishing/accessory requirements for selected events in collaboration with the wider conferences team.
4. Support the Digital Experience program globally, aiding in the design and creation of digital signage assets, strategically integrating digital platforms into our attendee journey, and overseeing implementation of program at select conferences.
5. Assist with the creation and implementation of operational processes and project management playbooks to maximize the impact of the role and team across all regions and portfolios.
6. Creative, innovative, and proactive approach to all aspects of the role - constantly seeking to exceed previous experiences and increase the effectiveness of all processes.
7. Collaboration with Client Business Units to strategically advise and support their event objectives throughout the planning process - culminating with the conference experience.
8. Build excellent relationships with the vendor partners - leading them to a Client level of creativity, innovation and passion towards conferences.
9. Effective financial management and predictability including budget creation, cost negotiation and accurate forecasting; highlight risks, recommendations for allocation of funds and management of a production planning calendar.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree preferred
2. 1-3+ Years Event Management, Branding and/or Experiential & Event Marketing Experience
3. Proven creative and operational management responsibility in a team setting
4. Proven event operational and project management skills
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload
6. Management of multiple agency and vendor partners
7. Experience in creation of event spaces/environments/floor plans
8. Proven and exceptional project management skills, effective management of time and prioritization
9. Creative, innovative, strategic
10. High attention to detail
11. Financial management skills
12. Client focused, solution oriented and collaborative
13. High sense of urgency, decisiveness, attention to detail and confidentiality
14. Fully competent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel and similar in G-Suite
15. Strong oral & written communication skills
16. Willingness to travel approximately 30% globally
