Our client, a major manufacturer of bearings for the aerospace and automotive industry, is looking for a Maintenance Engineer – with an electrical bias. You will be servicing, fault finding, repairing and improving on a wide range of production equipment – including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines. This opportunity is a permanent opportunity with an attractive salary. You will be working on a double day shift rotating, the hours are 05:50-14:00 and 13:50 – 22:00 Monday to Thursday and Fridays 05:50-11:20 and 11:10-16:40 shift premium is offered. What would you do? Carry out Preventative Maintenance in accordance with schedules Resolve breakdowns Fault find to the cause of failures Source and purchase spares Carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks Test & inspect electrical installations Communicate to operators/mangers/engineers/contractors Be active in supporting, creating and implementing new ways of working/good working practices Drive a continuous improvement culture Support supplier and subcontractor development, where applicable Run your operations according to the Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Policies, and work according to the Quality Management System What are we looking for? Apprentices trained and have a range of industry recognized qualifications such as: City & Guilds, NVQ's, BTEC, HNC, HND etc. Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment Understand good maintenance and engineering practices Excellent Electrical knowledge Excellent Mechatronics knowledge Good understanding of Preventative Maintenance principles/methodologies Able to use own initiative and work autonomously when required Be flexible to work overtime and support a small team
