The Role
Become a Children’s Social Worker for Bury and help with our ‘Let’s Do it for Children’ vision.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated social worker to join our Initial Response Team (IRT), as part of IRT you will be working alongside 4 individual teams, within each team there will be a Team Manager and 6 Social workers including Advance Practitioners. Each Team on IRT will cover DUTY on a 1-week rotating rota during this time you will be expected to be based in the office alongside your team.
The Initial Response Teams in Bury are fast paced, lively and interesting and would ideally suit Social Workers who are proactive and adaptable, and who have a passion for ensuring that Children and Families in our area receive a positive and timely first experience of our service.
The work is immensely rich and varied day to day and allows for a high level of multi-agency working often to tight timelines.
About You
To help us achieve our ambitions for children and families we are looking for dedicated, and compassionate social workers who are child focused and committed to relationship-based social work to join us. You will be a qualified Level 3 Social Worker, registered with SW England, and have access to a car to enable you to visit and support our children and families.
