Due to growth, they are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis.
The Role:
As a Part-Time Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the business. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and providing valuable insights to aid in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing clear financial insights and analysis.
3. Monitor company financial performance and highlight variances against the budget.
4. Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/auditors.
5. Conduct regular financial analysis to support business decisions.
6. Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
7. Manage VAT returns and other tax submissions.
8. Maintain and update financial records using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
9. Monthly IF Reconciliation.
10. Purchase ledger coding and inputting.
11. Daily bank reconciliation.
12. Provide ad-hoc financial support to the business owners as required.
Key Requirements:
1. Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
2. Proven experience in a similar management accounting role, ideally within a small or family-run business.
3. Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
4. Proficient in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial information to non-finance shareholders.
6. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
7. Flexible approach and a willingness to support the wider team.
