Service Manager- Domiciliary Care
Leatherhead - commutable from Epsom, Horsham, Redhill, Dorking etc
UP to £32,000 per annum
A UK wide specialist domiciliary care organisation is looking for a Service Manager in the Glasgow area, to manage a well running branch supporting individuals with a range of care needs including mental health, learning disabilities and other complex needs
The ideal Service Manager will have experience within the domiciliary care sector at a senior/manager level & be passionate about care. You will be responsible for operational excellence within the services & ensuring your team provide the highest levels of care to the service users.
Responsibilities of an excellent Service Manager:
• Managing staff on a day-to-day basis in all areas, including recruitment, development of staff, inductions and training across multiple sites
• To effectively develop good communication links between customers and support team and colleagues.
• Promote independence of service users with a person centred approach
• To take responsibility for monitoring the work performance of staff & achieving KPI's
• Planning and maintaining staff rota's, ensuring adequate cover at all times & ensuring all compliance issues are dealt with efficiently.
Key skills required by an excellent Service Manager:
• Previous experience in a similar supervisory level role within the domcare sector
• NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care
• Good time management & financial skills, IT literate with excellent communication written & orally
• Driving essential
In return, my client will offer a competitive salary of up to £32,000 per annum and excellent career progression, along with generous holiday leave. The role is full time, predominantly Monday to Friday but flexibility is key!
