Reporting to the Retail Pricing Lead, the Pricing Manager will assist in the development of market-leading pricing and underwriting capability to support delivery of the Retail plans and strategy.
The role holder will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of the Retail pricing and underwriting, within the scope of their defined role. This will require helping to build a team culture of relentless focus on understanding performance through a broad range of indicators, and delivering frequent, effective, and innovative actions using a combination of data, commercialism, experience, and judgement.
A bit about the job:
The role holder will be required to work closely with the Retail team, other parts of Personal Lines Underwriting, and other teams within the Personal Lines business, including Finance, Claims, Risk and Analytics.
Responsible for the analysis of the commercial impacts and performance associated with pricing actions pre and post-delivery.
Responsible for delivering market-leading pricing and underwriting, supporting the plans and strategy of the Channel business within the scope of their role.
Responsible for following required governance and process that meets the requirement of appropriate regulation and legislation.
Accountable for ensuring that pricing deliveries are compliant with FCA Pricing Practices.
Responsible for ensuring that customer and conduct outcomes are at the heart of pricing and underwriting decisions within the scope of their role.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Understanding of UK general insurance market
2. First class underwriting & pricing capabilities
3. Strong business acumen and commercial focus
4. Ability to think both strategically and operationally
5. Strong financial and statistical knowledge
What you’ll get for this role:
Starting salary between £45,000 and £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
