Could you apply your knowledge and skills to support waste disposal services in Hampshire?
The Waste and Resource Management Team are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual, who is able to collaborate effectively and support the service in delivering its statutory duties. The successful candidate will be comfortable analysing and interpreting data from a variety of sources to identify trends or opportunities. The role offers a hybrid of reactive workload, responding to urgent issues relating to sites or online systems, as well as the chance to be part of projects looking at creating operational efficiencies throughout the service.
Supporting the Senior Waste Operations Officer to manage the day-to-day obligations of the waste disposal contract, the successful candidate will help to ensure compliance with contract conditions, support partner authorities and confirm that all relevant regulatory positions are being met. This will include being instrumental in the management of the Hampshire Fly-Tipping partnership, and using own initiative and knowledge to seek opportunities to make appropriate cost savings and efficiencies within the bounds of existing and future legislation and contract conditions.
This opportunity is advertised as full-time, however we are also happy to consider applications from people wanting to work on a part-time basis and/or wanting to work flexibly. We will also consider applications for this post as an apprenticeship role for an appropriate Level 3 or Level 4 apprenticeship (where applicable). Successful candidates would have 20% of their working week allocated to completion of the apprenticeship.
