We are a leading independent practice in York, having a significant presence in Yorkshire, as a long established, yet growing accountancy, tax and business advisory firm.
Role overview
Working within our Audit and Advisory Team, as a Senior Accounts Executive, you will be a key member of our Team. Your typical daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Supporting the delivery of audits from planning through to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients
* Ensuring audits are conducted in accordance with relevant auditing standards
* Preparation of financial statements for the businesses serviced by the department
* VAT compliance work and preparation of management accounts
* Supervision and mentoring of junior staff, providing training, guidance and feedback
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing proactive advice and insights
Person specification / Academic requirements
A strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards. Previous experience conducting financial audits and preparing financial statements. A professional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA) is desirable; part qualified individuals will be considered. You will demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting as well as good communication skills.
Working arrangements
The working week: 35 hours per week, to be worked from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
