Our Team
You will be supporting the Corporate practice group providing secretarial and administration support. You'll be reporting into the Manchester office Secretarial Services Manager and will be working alongside Partners and Associates and other Secretaries.
Our Opportunity
In this dynamic and busy role, no two days will be the same. This role would be ideal for someone who is an experienced Secretary with exposure to supporting at Partner level in a national or global law firm.
You'll work alongside the existing teams as well as taking ownership of complex billing tasks and client reporting; client and matter inceptions (including understanding KYC requirements); extensive diary management and dealing with international travel.
You must have a positive and professional approach at all times, and work efficiently in a very busy team.

You
As this is a varied role, you'll need to be an organised, proactive individual who can easily prioritise and juggle workloads. You'll need to have the flexibility to assist other departments when required. You should also be able to use your initiative and spot where help is needed with limited supervision.
You'll also have experience of complex billing, client inceptions, managing busy inboxes and extensive diary management. Proven experience of working in a law firm is essential.
As you will be dealing with clients of the firm, excellent communication skills are key for this role. Ideally, you'll have good knowledge of all Microsoft packages along with strong keyboard skills, and a good eye for detail is a must.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience of working in a professional service firm.
