Maintenance Scheduler
Salary: Up to £28,000 Dependent on Experience
Hours: Monday to Friday: 09.00 - 17.00 (can be flexible)
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract
Location: Luton

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Provide the main point of contact for all repairs and void works.
2. Ensure that all requested repairs and voids are completed to agreed time schedules and processes.
3. Work with internal and external agencies to ensure all repair and void works are completed on time and within budget.
4. Ensure that all works are completed on the IT system and evidenced by use of photographs.
5. Work closely with the Surveyor/Maintenance Ops Manager to ensure quality of work, value for money, and that works are completed on time.
6. Allocate appropriate works to sub-contractors in line with the financial regulations.
7. Request quotations if required for major external works.
8. Provide guidance and advice to DLO on customers' responsibilities, OT intervention, and void works.
9. Liaise with all relevant departments providing regular updates on required and void works.
10. Monitor and provide guidance on timelines for completion of all works.
11. Ensure all work undertaken is in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.
12. Co-ordinate diaries of internal maintenance team in a timely manner; ensuring clarity of information.
13. Responsible for updating the maintenance dashboard by completing and approving the invoices and work orders in a timely manner.
14. Assist in setting departmental targets and act as a key driver in ensuring all relevant maintenance and repairs KPIs are achieved.
15. Update knowledge by participating in training opportunities as required by the business.
16. Understand and follow policies and procedures always, including Health and Safety, Fairness, and Lone Working.
Qualifications Required:
1. Experience in scheduling and planning maintenance repairs.
2. Good working knowledge of building construction, building regulations, and health & safety legislation.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to work well under pressure.
5. Good organisational skills.
6. Confidence in prioritising work.
7. Good computer skills including proficiency in the use of Word and Excel (windows-based applications).
8. Experience on MRI or similar systems.
