About the role: Coordinate and manage street works activities related to asset maintenance, new connections, and network development projects. Ensure compliance with operational and regulatory requirements, while maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders such as the Department of Infrastructure. The role involves managing notices, permits, updates, and addressing defects, all while leading a small team to ensure smooth operations and service excellence. Working Hours: 8.30am 5pm, Mon Fri. 1 late night finish per week of 7pm. Salary: £27,000. Eligible to participate in company bonus scheme 6%-9% per annum Location:Belfast Duration: Permanent, Full-Time Key Responsibilities: Oversee all street works noticing, including raising, closing, and registering within required deadlines. Submit and manage street work permit applications, including diversion routes and traffic management. Ensure accurate system updates and achievement of KPIs within SLAs. Build and maintain relationships with statutory officers, utility companies, and other stakeholders. Coordinate street works activities with internal teams and external contractors. Lead a small team managing street works notices and permit applications. Administer street works coordination tasks, producing internal management reports. Support the development and implementation of new procedures and processes. Assist in training and development within the Customer Services team. Generic Responsibilities: Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, contractors, and partners. Adhere to health and safety policies and promote equal opportunities. Essential: 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English. At least 12 months of experience coordinating street works using Symology and applying for permits. Strong understanding of The Street Works (Northern Ireland) Order 1995. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Desirable: Relevant street works or traffic management qualification. Experience in the utilities or energy sector. Experience working within planning and scheduling teams. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
