North Wessex Downs National Landscape (NWDNL) – Conserving and enhancing natural beauty
Join us in shaping the future of one of England’s most beautiful, designated landscapes!
The National Landscape is looking for a Project Officer who will enjoy a dynamic role that combines creativity, partnership working, and the conservation and enhancement of our natural and cultural heritage.
As Project Officer, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that’s passionate about protecting and enhancing the natural beauty, wildlife, and historic environment. With opportunities to develop and work on innovative projects and make a tangible impact, this role offers the perfect blend of challenge and reward.
In the role, you will liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and conservation organisations. Your work will involve contributing to or leading the development of priority projects and funding bids aligned with the Management Plan, planning events, and managing grants. You’ll also play a key role in engaging with communities and raising awareness of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape’s work through presentations, partnerships, and consultations.
We’re looking for someone with a qualification in a countryside, environmental, or related field, and proven experience in partnership working, project management, and delivery. You’ll need excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a talent for innovative thinking.
