Job Description Bose is seeking an experienced analyst to own promotions analytics (includes lifecycle pricing management, end of life pricing, promotional and everyday pricing) across our entire portfolio with focus on our key markets in Europe, MEA and APAC. In this position, you will be looking at new, innovative ways to inform and support our pricing and promotions strategy that make pricing and promotions a competitive advantage for Bose. Key Responsibilities Pricing Analytics, Testing and Reporting Responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to understand product value proposition, current or proposed price points, data gathering and cleansing, deep dive advanced statistical analysis/modeling and recommendations to optimize the performance of pricing and promotion strategies and tactics Work with product managers and category leads to support development of pre-season promotion strategies, track in-market promotions and recommend shifts in future promotion strategy Monitor, analyze and report price and promotions performance by category and market and make recommendations on future tests to run and actions to roll out Potentially support Sales teams operationally through deal support, data gathering through custom dashboard/reports development and analysis Utilize internal tools and capabilities to develop reports and strategic insights that Product and Category Managers can use to improve performance. Pricing and Promotions Strategy Creation and Thought Leadership Support the VP of Product Management to understand and design complex commercial pricing and promotions models, leveraging data and analytics to develop and execute pricing and promotion strategies across various categories, retailers and markets Collaborate with insights team on pricing studies and elevate firm’s understanding of Bose’s value exchange proposition and impact of pricing options Co-lead with pricing strategy manager the organization of workshops and seminars on price-relevant topics such as value and behavioral pricing for Bose employees and distribution partners. Forecasting and Cycle Planning Accountable for forecasting the impact of promotions on sales for Europe, MEA and APAC and feed it into cycle planning Build a thorough understanding of MMM (our forecasting approach for measuring impact of promotions) and work with MMM team to ensure robustness of forecast Conduct ongoing forecast vs actual validation and suggest steps to improve forecast accuracy Collaborate with Data & Analytics CoE on new product forecasting to incorporate the impact of pricing scenarios Collaborate with CoE and IT on updates and maintenance of models and tools Translate business strategy, goals, and objectives into model and tool requirements, conduct gap analysis between business needs and current data and tool capabilities and work with CoE to update current tools and models to inform pricing and promotion decisions Work with CoE to maintain the ongoing model validation of existing and new models Collaborate and partner with pricing strategy manager, category leads, Data & Analytics COE, Sales and Ecommerce to scope out, prioritize, and develop innovative capabilities Constantly look for opportunities to enrich promotions and competitive pricing data by evaluating and contracting 3rd party promo data providers, identifying relevant datasets such as clickstream or geospatial data among others Pricing and Promotions Analytics Support to Regional Commercial Teams Forecast the regional implications of pricing and promotions decisions and share it with local commercial teams Build a dynamic framework to highlight areas of gray market risk based on changing currency valuation and suggest changes to improve price alignment within Bose Required Skills Education: BS degree in business or mathematics/statistics or engineering with an MBA being an added advantage Experience: 3-5 years of relevant professional experience; 2 years of experience in reporting and analytics, specifically in connecting business strategy to processes for data management, pricing analytics, data science, business intelligence, and/or reporting Experience in new product pricing, lifecycle pricing management, end of life pricing, promotional and everyday pricing is preferred Strong knowledge of statistics, databases (SQL), pricing and value models, regressions, applied pricing and economics principles, yield management concepts and tools, reporting and BI solutions (Tableau, etc.) Experience with Excel, Tableau, or other data visualization tools required Analytic and strategic thinking skills, with a financial acumen and ability to digest complex information and make data-driven decisions Passionate problem solver and creative thinker, with ability to pitch new ideas and be open to feedback Dynamic and agile: ability to think in a creative and strategic way, but be adept at delivering operationally to ensure tasks are followed through to completion.
