Job Title: Senior Site Manager
Location: Southeast, with potential projects across the UK
Salary: Up to £60k + Benefits
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm (Overtime paid for hours beyond this)

My client have established ourselves as a client-focused building contractor with a strong reputation for delivering projects for blue-chip and repeat business clients. Operating throughout the UK, they handle a wide range of projects, predominantly in the sectors of commercial, educational, industrial, leisure, health, and social housing. They are seeking to strengthen their Site Management team.
Role Overview:
They are looking for a Senior Site Manager to help manage and deliver projects, including large-format builds ranging from £4 million to £15 million. The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day running of construction sites and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage large-scale projects, typically in the £4 million to £15 million range.
Oversee the planning and day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring work progresses in line with the schedule.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Organise and manage subcontractors and direct labour teams effectively.
Maintain accurate site records, ensuring the smooth flow of information across the project.
Assist in the preparation and management of short-term programmes.
Develop and manage budgets, controlling costs by reviewing variation requests.
Maintain excellent communication with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors.
Travel within our operating area, with occasional overnight stays as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Strong experience as a number one on large-scale projects with a main contractor.
Proven track record in managing projects in the range of £4 million to £15 million.
Ability to lead a site team and act as the key point of contact for clients.
Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues before they arise.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
A commitment to Health & Safety regulations on site.
Previous experience with a main contractor and a trade background is preferred but not essential.
Longevity in previous roles.
Flexibility to travel within the region and occasionally lodge away from home when required.
