Samuel Frank is recruiting for a graduate level Controls Engineer to join a rapidly expanding system integrator in the South Yorkshire area. Enthusiastic, budding Controls Engineers will suit this team well, someone who is keen to learn and immerse themselves into control engineering!
Applicants must be able to work in the UK without sponsorship and hold a Degree in a related subject.
Graduate Controls Engineers applying for the role will learn about the following:
* Developing PLC software for a range of major manufacturers e.g. Rockwell, GE or Siemens
* Functional Safety systems in accordance with IEC 61508 / 61511
* Learning how to interpret existing electrical drawings for fault finding
* Building knowledge of communication protocols
* Learning how to faultfind on hardware and software
* Writing high quality Test & Functional Design Specifications
The successful Graduate Controls Engineer will work as part of a project team delivering control system projects to the client’s customer base. You will learn how to formulate high quality Functional Design Specifications to meet the requirements, develop software to meet the functional requirements, and carry out the functional testing. The Controls Manager estimates the role of Graduate Controls Engineer will have an 80/20 split between working in the office and being based on customer sites.
