As an Aseptic Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and quality-checking aseptic products, including chemotherapy, intravenous (IV) medications, and other sterile preparations. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and high standards of care, with a particular focus on maintaining aseptic techniques and adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Preparing and dispensing aseptic products, including chemotherapy and IV medications Ensuring compliance with GMP, NHS guidelines, and health and safety regulations Undertaking quality control checks on sterile preparations Supporting the aseptic team in maintaining a clean and safe working environment Managing stock and ensuring all required medications are available Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior staff Keeping accurate records of aseptic preparations and patient-related information Liaising with healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services Requirements: Qualified Pharmacy Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) GPhC Registered (or in the process of registering) Proven experience in aseptic dispensing and sterile preparation Knowledge of GMP and the safe handling of chemotherapy and other hazardous drugs Experience working in a hospital or NHS setting (preferred) High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure Strong communication and team-working abilities Why Choose Hunter AHP?
