Due to expansion, the opportunity has arisen to expand our team within our Residential Children's Home.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about providing Young People with all the skills necessary to become confident Young Adults that are prepared and skilled to go on and be the best they absolutely can be!
Our ethos is very much one where we want to create 'home' and we want to ensure a relaxed but dynamic atmosphere where the voice of our children and young people is heard and used to design the holistic and tailor made care that they deserve.
We would like to hear from individuals that are experienced and hold a Level 3 in 'Residential Childcare' or above and a valid Team Teach certificate. We would also be interested to hear from individuals with necessary experience who would be looking for future progression but not necessarily currently in a position of leadership.
The position is on a fixed three week rota with hours worked ranging from 33-43 hours. The successful candidate will be required to work a mixture of day, evening, weekend and sleep-in shifts.
Candidates must also hold a relevant DBS registered with the update service and a full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a team of staff.
2. Supervise daily operations maintaining efficiency and safeguarding.
3. Assist in the training and development of team members, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
4. Ensuring compliance with health regulations.
5. Help create and maintain our homely environment.
6. Work with other professional agencies.
7. Promote the wellbeing and safety of our children.
Skills
1. Proven leadership skills with experience in team management.
2. Strong background in Children's residential care.
3. Knowledge of Children's Home Regulations, Ofsted and relevant legislation.
4. Excellent communication skills to effectively supervise and motivate staff.
5. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
6. A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
