Quality Manager - Bury/ Bolton.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Manager.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of Sheet-metal and fabrication processes and the ability to analyse data effectively and lead change.
The Quality Manager will work closely with various departments to implement and maintain quality control systems whilst developing a culture of quality lead production.
Duties
* Manage any quality issues.
* Responsible to complete preventative quality measures
Person specification & character traits:
* Significant experience of quality engineering within manufacturing sector, preferably in metal production and fabrication.
* Ability to enthuse others within the organisation of the importance and benefits of quality
* Ability to effectively influence and work collaboratively with others in the organisation
* Ability to clearly plan and prioritise activities.
* Able to demonstrate strong analytic approach and ability to effectively sort and utilise data
* Able to demonstrate detailed understanding of quality tools and process.
* Good understanding of ISO9001 and EN1090 quality management system
* Experience of continuous improvement methodologies
* Recognised quality qualification and degree in technical subject would be an advantage
* Liaise the day-to-day activities to the team to meet the production goals.
* Ensure all machine TPM’s are carried out by your team at the required frequency, and report back any machine faults or potential faults.
* Work within MRP systems and procedures.
* Create and maintain SOP’s and ensure all Production Operatives carry out activities in line with them.
* Flexible and able to adapt as required
* Set up and run Tool box talks
* Use Microsoft package to produce and improve skills matrix etc
* Run Stocktake procedure
* Ensure smooth running of ISO9001 quality standard whilst providing internal audits. Maintaining and updating Company Quality Manual.
* Equipment calibration logs
* The ability to deliver continuous improvement through a proactive approach towards manufacturing
* Responsible for planning the quality activities for successful new product introduction
* Provide expert support to permanently resolve any reactive quality issues and drive through to permanent resolution
* Conduct quality audits both internally and externally, ensure that resulting action plans are completed to satisfactorily resolve all identified non-conformities
* Responsible to maintain effective KPI’s to accurately measure quality and drive improvement
* Provide expert coaching and guidance on quality topics to other business functions
