We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Private Estate Rural Surveyor to join an established team, where you will comprehensively manage a substantial rural estate portfolio comprising land, woodland, residential dwellings, and facilities. In this diverse role, you’ll handle the daily responsibilities and opportunities presented by a vibrant estate, bringing a professional approach to every aspect. Based out of our client’s Midlands office, you will travel across the region, focusing on preserving and improving estate assets. With your expertise, you’ll stay informed on current legislation and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the environment, strengthen the estate, and contribute to the local economy. Role Responsibilities:
* To manage and maintain all aspects of the estate to protect and enhance the value
* To comprehensively manage all tenancy matters, building strong relationships with tenants
* To oversee financial management, including reporting, budgeting, appraisal and presenting strategies to support growth and increase asset value of the estate
* The management of land transactions and covenant matters, ensuring compliance with legislation
* To maintain strong neighbour relations, handling boundary issues and addressing any disputes that arise
* To maintain all estate records, documenting processes, managing the risk register and coordinating asset valuations for financial reporting
* To stay updated on industry developments to minimise risks and strengthen the estate
* To promote and uphold the company values, collaborating with the wider team and industry professionals
Skills you will need:
Essential:
* Proven experience of successfully managing large land assets
* Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, land management, property law and the rural economy
* A strong relationship builder, capable of fostering relationships fluidly
* Excellent communication skills, able to communicate confidently to a variety of audiences
* Highly professional, with the capacity to remain diplomatic when handling sensitive enquiries
* Able to work independently and collaboratively to achieve business objectives and goals
* Reliable and flexible, adapting to the evolving needs of the business
* Physically fit and happy to travel within the area
* A full UK driving licence and car
* Proficient IT skills and in the Microsoft Office suite
* ● Registered valuer status
