Mace is seeking to appoint an assistant project manager to join this rapidly growing and successful part of the business. The key roles will be to assist the electrical package manager to plan, direct, manage and oversee implementation of the electrical works to ensure the clients goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedule, budget and defined health, safety and quality parameters. Effective communication with client, contractor and sub-contractors, consultants, management of client and project stake holders is required. Client focus - Deliver on our promise: You will ensure quality systems are suitably managed in line with service excellence. You will support delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones. You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of project managers and senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project. Review of design and engagement through the design process, assisting the design team where appropriate. Assist with scoping work packages for design drawings in line with the other package managers Assist with procurement of packages, reviewing and appointing subcontractors alongside the commercial team. Providing support to construction managers to ensure trade work packages are attaining the agreed delivery programme. Liaising with Building PM's/CM's as to their requirements to attain delivery programme. Input and review the contractor reporting (Dashboard). Attend regular progress meetings. Monitor the contractor design, programme and deliverables. Review and monitor key quality sign offs. Review and monitor incoming changes and advise on scope change and programme. Review and liaise with temporary works co-ordinator. Integrity - Always do the right thing: You will develop your knowledge of project budgets and highlight any risks, challenges and mitigations. You will manage parts of projects independently, with oversight from other project managers. You’ll need to have: Time management and organisational skills. Strong influencing and people management skills. Good communication skills. Track record in working in a regulated industry - rail/ aviation. Experience in procurement of electrical packages including IT/Comms/Security systems. Qualification within electrical/mechanical works desirable. CV History and work exposure counted if none present.
