We are working with a leading consultancy that is looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager with experience in MEP projects to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years experience, be self-motivated, and confident in a client-facing role managing multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering projects on a day-to-day basis
* Engaging with clients and developing strong relationships
* Managing cost management strategies and delivery
* Establishing and implementing effective processes and systems
* Producing cost plans, feasibility studies, and option appraisals
* Compiling and issuing cost reports
* Assessing, tracking, and reporting on change management
* Managing risk processes and value management
* Working with supply chains and implementing effective procurement
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and designers
* Managing sub-consultants and construction managers
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Minimum of 4 years experience
* Strong verbal, numerical, and report/proposal writing skills
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
* Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects
* Experience in delivering large projects (up to GBP100m)
* JCT and NEC contract experience
* Build-to-Rent (BTR) experience
* Experience working in a multi-disciplinary organisation
* Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
