Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Overtime Pay
Job Type: Full-time, On-site (Monday to Friday, occasional flexibility if needed)
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small-scale environment where responsibilities span multiple areas, from hands-on workshop activities to mechanical design and logistics support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mechanical Design & Development: Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems, particularly within the ICE powertrain and engine domain.
* Workshop Involvement: Engage in hands-on work, assembling and testing mechanical components and supporting development activities.
* Bill of Materials (BOM) Support: Assist in creating and maintaining accurate BOMs for various projects.
* Logistics & Stock Management: Support procurement, stock control, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution.
* General Engineering Support: Work closely with senior engineers to support various mechanical and project-related tasks.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of industry experience in a relevant mechanical engineering role.
* Strong understanding of ICE powertrain and engine systems (preferred but not essential).
* Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
* Comfortable working in a hands-on workshop environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse role.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
