Job Description:
* Civil/Structural Inspection Engineer and Team Leader
* Development of inspection opportunities for new and existing clients
* Developing client requirements for ongoing inspections
* Preparing proposals including scope and costs
* Drafting and reviewing Written Schemes of Examination (WSE)
* Identifying plant preparation requirements from WSE
* Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
* Examining Civil and Structural assets per procedures
* Preparing reports with photographs in line with procedures
* Assessing deterioration and recommending actions
* Endorsing reports with inspection schedules and recommendations
* Issuing reports in electronic or hard copy formats
* Conducting inspections in the UK
What we expect of you?
Education:
* HNC/Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
* Incorporated Engineer status (desirable)
Experience & Skills:
* Civil and Structural Engineering background
* Understanding of engineering principles
* Ability to identify defects and solutions
* Proficiency in IT and reporting software
* Ability to follow procedures accurately
* Courage to make and defend decisions
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
* Ambition to learn and progress
* Experience in chemical/oil & gas industry (desirable)
* Current UK driving license
