Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients. Your expertise in medication administration and patient care will be vital in supporting the pharmacy's operations and enhancing patient outcomes.
Duties
1. Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
2. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications, usage, and side effects.
3. Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including compounding and labelling as necessary.
4. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory management.
5. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
6. Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain an efficient pharmacy operation.
7. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
1. Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser is highly desirable.
2. Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and protocols.
3. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and support.
4. Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
5. Attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications.
6. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is an advantage but not mandatory.
