A & M Group are a family run multi-franchise group. Since we started in 1986, we have grown to become a well-known dealer in agricultural and construction equipment.
Due to continued success and expansion, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join the team at our busy Bridgend head office. We require an experienced individual to enhance our already successful team and assist us to grow.
The Role / Requirements:
* Oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
* Responsible for the end-to-end sales ledger process, from initial invoicing of the sale through to the successful collection of all monies due
* Manage the accounts payable process, including reviewing and approving invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving payment discrepancies
* Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
* Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes
* Being the principal point of contact for the external accountants (responsible for statutory accounts and payroll)
* Work closely with the senior leadership team, offering strategic input and insight that helps shape our success

Experience:
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage or similar
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
* Solid understanding of financial management principles
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Accounting: 5 years (required)
