Job Description
Are you ready to work on cutting-edge aerospace systems that define the future of air defence? Join ALTEN as a Model-Based Systems Engineer, where you'll play a key role in the development and integration of advanced avionics for next-generation aircraft. Be part of a high-impact team delivering complex system architectures using MBSE methodologies to enhance operational capability.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage system requirements using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles.
* Design, model, and analyse system architectures using tools such as Enterprise Architect or Capella .
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration in an aerospace environment.
* Support system verification and validation, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and defence standards .
* Contribute to system design reviews, providing expertise on MBSE best practices and technical documentation.
* Ensure traceability between requirements, models, and system verification to support project lifecycle management.
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering within Aerospace, Defence, or a similar complex engineering environment .
* Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a relevant field or a UK military technical background .
* Strong background in Requirements Engineering, with experience in tools like DOORS .
* Proficiency in MBSE methodologies, including SysML and UML .
* Hands-on experience with Enterprise Architect, Capella, or similar modelling tools .
* Understanding of system verification, validation, and compliance processes .
* Ability to work within structured engineering processes in accordance with industry standards.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of defence standards and airworthiness regulations .
* Experience in software/hardware integration in aerospace systems.
* Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
* Background in aerospace mission systems, avionics, or defence platforms .
