We are seeking a Qualified Primary Teacher to join a fantastic school in Ipswich, working with a small class of Year 5/6 children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. This is a full-time role with an immediate start or availability after Easter 2025, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives. The role is paid to scale from the outset and has the potential to become a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH students.
2. Provide pastoral care and create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
3. Collaborate with support staff, SENCO, and parents to ensure each child's progress.
4. Implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively and promote emotional well-being.
5. Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
2. Strong experience in SEN/SEMH teaching.
3. Proven ability to manage small class groups with tailored approaches.
4. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
5. This role is not suitable for ECTs or Instructor Teachers.
