Senior Salmon are looking for experienced CNC Press Brake Operators to join our clients growing team!
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC press brake machinery according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with precision tools in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
1. Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components as per engineering drawings.
2. Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.
3. Measure fold angles and lengths with appropriate tools, i.e., Vernier or square.
4. Have awareness of blank spaces, bend locations, appropriate tonnage, and tooling for each part being formed.
5. Operate CNC Turret Punch and select tools with die clearances based on material being punched.
6. Set up tooling, load programmes, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
7. Determine the condition of tools and point of replacement or re-shaping.
8. Lift raw materials onto the machine bed, remove parts and scrap safely once punching is complete.
9. Conduct routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance.
10. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
11. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
1. Proficient in operating press brake machinery with a strong understanding of tooling requirements.
2. Experience operating and programming CNC Turret Punches or Press Brakes.
3. Must be able to work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.
4. Trutops programming experience would be advantageous.
5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
Pay Rate
£15.00ph, temp to perm
Working Hours
Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (1pm finish on Friday).
