About the role:
Plan and lead proposals and cost estimates for all projects while supporting the Bids and Tenders team in all aspects of Bids and Tendering documents to secure projects with existing and new clients.
Providing robust proposals including:
1. Proposal Letter
2. Estimates for the costs of a project, products, and services.
3. Clarifications to the proposal
4. Liaising with the Bid and Tender Coordinator to ensure clients' requirements regarding detail and documentation are met.
5. Assisting the Tender Manager with BNB, Approval, and Handover process.
Help the sales team with proposals, tracking costs, understanding customer specifications, and calculating the final budget for the project, product, or service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Sales Team in acquiring new works, including preparation of proposal documentation and estimates as required.
2. Lead, plan, and prepare proposals and cost estimates for projects.
3. Lead and plan the estimation process.
4. Preparation of detailed proposals.
5. Maintain and build upon current client relationships and assist in developing new client relationships, attending, and contributing to meetings.
6. Ensure the smooth operation of the estimating and tender process, liaising closely with clients and all departments across the group.
7. Assist with bids for new contracts and support the activities of the buyers.
8. Support the business in the successful conversion of estimates into orders.
9. Prepare and submit competitive tender packages based on estimating knowledge and pricing.
10. Interpret drawings and specifications from clients to produce accurate estimations.
Additional:
1. Create presentations and documents to support internal communications.
2. Gather information to populate estimation documents.
3. Organise project files with internal and external information.
4. Input details or maintain information stored in CRM.
5. Deputise for the Bids and Tender Manager when required.
6. Engineering degree - desirable.
7. Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
8. Good communication skills.
9. Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) grade AC.
10. Eagerness to develop knowledge and attend internal and external training.
11. Offshore Wind Industry experience - desirable.
12. Experience with HV timings and estimation - desirable.
