A Senior Support Worker is required at Parkhill Lodge Learning Disability Service, based within Lord Hardy Court Residential Home, Rawmarsh.
You will:
1. Manage the coordination and delivery of the Learning Disability Service.
2. Manage the services rotas and instigate further developments; ensuring that in-house systems and monthly audits are used by all appropriate staff members to achieve the most efficient and effective use of resources.
3. Assist in the overall development and management of the service in accordance with the Council’s policies.
4. Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of each resident and ensure that they are the primary focus, promoting self-advocacy and/or advocating on their behalf.
5. Manage a team of key workers and oversee the implementation of care packages, including the formulation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and review of care plans.
6. Plan for and supervise the delivery of care packages working in cooperation with other professionals and agencies.
7. Manage, supervise, and engage in the day-to-day care practice and activities of the home, including planning and participating in activities, ensuring the health care and training needs of all residents are addressed, and promoting safeguarding.
8. Manage and deploy staff and resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring that agreed minimum staffing levels are maintained, and provide formal supervision of all staff including identifying training needs.
9. Ensure the effective and safe storage, recording, handling, and administration of medicines.
10. Manage, audit, and participate in the completion of relevant records and reports using both written and electronic communication. These will include Care Plans, Risk Assessments, Daily Records, Financial Documents, Complaints Processing, Reports for Reviews, and Timesheets.
