Our growing business is seeking a motivated sales and design engineer to join our hardworking van conversions team. We are looking for a professional who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge to support the current van conversions side of our business. You will be the main customer contact for all van conversion enquiries, working closely with purchasing and the Mobile Workshop Supervisor.
The role includes both internal and external sales, so a full driving licence is essential. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress in a sales key accounts capacity. You will be required to establish and build strong relationships, generate leads, and close sales enquiries to meet agreed targets. You will be required to use computer programmes to draw up the workshop designs, so you will need to be computer literate (full software training given).
Product and sales training will be provided; however, a knowledge of mobile workshops/van conversions is essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Handle incoming sales enquiries while looking for new potential customers to grow the existing business and support business development.
2. Manage existing key accounts and develop relationships with potential new customers with fleets.
3. Communicate with prospective and existing customers daily (Phone, email, e-chat, teams).
4. Design and produce computer drawings and raise quotes on our Drag and Drop system.
5. Plan and follow the workshop build schedule, using a T cards online system.
6. Liaise with our purchasing team to ensure all equipment ordered and build dates are adhered to.
7. Work with the Mobile Workshop Supervisor to ensure that our standards are met.
8. Handle and support customers in an after-sales role.
9. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
10. Resolve customer complaints and help improve customer satisfaction.
11. Keep the customer relationship management database up to date.
12. Work towards van sales targets.
13. Manage the mobile workshop team.
14. Liaise with finance companies to ensure they have the correct information.
15. Assist with the machinery and service sales team when required.
16. Manage own time, emails, visits, and workload.
17. Adhere to health and safety guidelines and risk assessments.
18. Work as a team with other staff members when required.
19. Attend and represent Allswage UK at industry shows and exhibitions.
