Laboratory Technician Job Type: Full-time Location: Norfolk Salary: C£24,000 We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves a range of duties including sampling, quality control, and documentation, ideal for someone with a background in Chemistry or related fields. The successful candidate will be part of a busy industrial laboratory environment, where precision and quality are paramount. Day-to-day of the role: Sampling, correct labelling, and quality control of incoming raw materials. Conducting quality control of intermediate and finished manufactured products. Documenting test results using LIMS software and populating certificates of analysis. Producing commercial samples upon request from the sales team. Preparing samples for external analysis and assisting with label approvals. Maintaining general laboratory housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Required Skills & Qualifications: A-Level in Chemistry preferred; other qualifications like HNC/HND or relevant experience will also be considered. Good background understanding of Chemistry; experience with complex mixtures is desirable. Previous experience in a busy, industrial laboratory setting is ideal, but not essential as full training will be provided. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a busy team. Competence to work independently after training is complete. Good mathematical ability and computer literacy are essential. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines. Flexibility to cover different shifts as required, with the primary hours being 06:00-14:30. Occasional evening shifts and standard office hours may also apply. You will need to be able drive or be able to get to site independently due to shift times.
