Abacus Careers are teaming up with a superb, fast-growing client on the lookout for a Systems Engineer. The company manageinsurance claims relating to road accidents, providing services to their customers and clients. They need someone who has 2-3+ years experience in IT Systems Engineering and who has worked with tech such as Azure AD, Office 365, Windows Servers and VMWare etc. The best bit is that once you finish your probation you start working a 4 day week on a hybrid 2/2 split,with no impact on salary and with a number of other great benefits. Do you have it in you to be the an IT maestro and work closely with your surrounding team and IT Manager?Your workloadwill be at the forefront of this position whilst delivering impactful IT solutions with aspects of service desk and going to client sites to provide assistance on issues. The role is currently paying between £35,000-£40,000 with bonus opportunities. Key job responsibilities: Ensure the prompt handling of all inquiries received within the same day. Regularly address mail, email, and phone calls on a daily basis. Handle initial inquiries courteously and professionally, regardless of their source. Check the task list daily for upcoming responsibilities. Provide well-informed advice to users on potential solutions and "how-to" options. Adhere to Quality of Work standards and company procedures for Information Management and Application Development. Execute tasks assigned by the Helpdesk, showing initiative in gathering issue details during initial calls for quicker problem resolution. Conduct thorough issue investigations and make decisions on suitable solutions, from other relevant suppliers. Assist in future IT planning endeavors. Support the acquisition and installation of computer hardware and software as needed. Ensure proper software licensing compliance. Oversee network operations, telephony, and user training for hardware and software. Keep the IT Manager updated on progress and provide constructive feedback to management and colleagues. Identify training needs and attend sessions to enhance job performance, forwarding completion certificates to HR. Participate in performance appraisals and reviews to assess performance, training needs, and personal development. Adhere to company rules, regulations, and Health and Safety guidelines pertaining to the role. Maintain strict confidentiality in all interactions. Collaborate with team members, sharing knowledge and offering support. Undertake additional reasonable duties as required by the company within the scope of the role.
