### **Job Summary:**
We are seeking a professional and dedicated Butler to join our household team in London. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional hospitality skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of the Principal and their guests. This role involves maintaining high standards of service, coordinating with the kitchen team, and attending to the Principal's preferences. The successful candidate will be full of energy, self-motivated, and proactive in their approach.
### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
- **Maintain Knowledge:**
- Stay informed about culinary trends, food safety regulations, and sanitation practices.
- Understand the preferences of the Principal and family.
- Master formal and informal table service techniques, including silver service and polishing.
- **Guest Relations:**
- Meet and greet the Principal and guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Build rapport with guests, ensuring their comfort and addressing their needs promptly.
- **Preference Management:**
- Keep an updated record of the Principal’s preferences and communicate these to relevant team members.
- **Collaboration with Kitchen Team:**
- Work closely with the Chef, being conversant with the menus prepared.
- Coordinate with the Principal and kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- **Table Setup:**
- Prepare table settings according to the cuisines, menus, and locations specified for each meal or event.
- **Event Coordination:**
- Collaborate with outside catering teams to provide exceptional service during events and gatherings.
- **Beverage Knowledge:**
- Stay informed about wine and cocktail offerings to provide knowledgeable recommendations and service.
### **Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in a similar role within a private household or luxury hospitality environment, particularly in large formal houses.
- Strong understanding of fine dining service and etiquette.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
