Services include painting & cyclical decorations, responsive repairs & maintenance, planned maintenance & capital investment, passive fire protection and decarbonisation.
The Role - Quantity Surveyor - Berkshire (Hybrid / Flexi Working)
Following the successful launch of their new regional unit earlier this year, the company is now seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will actively tender, estimate and measure onsite on a variety of works including established frameworks and core contracts.
The ideal candidate will have experience of successfully managing a value of works up to £3 million.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Measure and prepare cost estimates for contracts and tenders, highlighting any commercial risks
* Prepare cost value reconciliations for contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities to ensure correct contract planning from the outset
* Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure productivity labour targets are agreed and issued before contract start, including direct labour incentives where possible
* Build strong client and supplier relations, to ensure any variations and progress of contracts are discussed and mutual solutions are sought

The Ideal Candidate:
* A curious, organised, and honest approach, paired with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, trade teams, and colleagues, creating a positive, team-oriented environment.
* Proven expertise in estimating and surveying, with a track record in managing projects from the tender and estimation stages through to final accounts.
* Experience overseeing projects with a value of up to £3 million annually, delivering successful results.
* A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for spotting business opportunities, improving negotiations, and maximising gains. You will describe yourself as commercial, analytical, and precise in your work.
* Strong Assistant / Junior level candidates will also be considered for this opportunity.
