We are seeking an Adult Teaching Assistant to join our team at Care First - Reeves Street, a further education provider that supports students with complex care needs and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have a caring nature and commitment to education, with the passion and motivation to make a positive impact on the growth of young people.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of learning materials, facilitate classroom activities, and provide hands-on involvement, including supervisory duties. They will also provide high-quality person-centered education, learning outcomes, and care support to service users with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioural support needs, complex health, physical disabilities, and PMLD.
Responsibilities
* To support and promote the development of Service Users attending the 'Skills Tank' Provision
* To meet the range of social care, learning, and education support needs for vulnerable adults with a broad range of needs and conditions
* To actively support the Hub Manager in the delivery of educational and learning through fun, meaningful sessions and activities, promoting a quality and professional service
* To give concise and accurate feedback and reports to the Hub Manager on each learner's progress
* To ensure that available equipment and resources are used, stored, and maintained efficiently
Requirements
* Ability to deal with complex and challenging behaviour
* Willingness to work towards further qualifications and training as required for the role
