Potens Recruitment is working with Lancashire County Council to recruit a Qualified Social Worker for their Family Safeguarding Team, covering Chorley and South Ribble. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families within a progressive and supportive local authority. Key Responsibilities: Conduct strength-based assessments to identify needs, risks, and protective factors for children and families. Manage a caseload of 15 to 22 children (depending on function) while ensuring timely interventions and progress reviews. Engage in direct work with children and young people to understand their experiences and promote positive outcomes. Collaborate with multi-agency teams to deliver innovative, family-focused interventions. Utilise the Family Safeguarding Model to implement effective and sustainable practice. What We’re Looking For: Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. At least 3 years of statutory experience, working with children and young people. Proven ability to manage caseloads and work with children with complex needs. Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a commitment to professional development.
