Mechanical Supervisor (Plumbing)

My client, a well-respected and growing company in the mechanical industry, is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join their team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified individual to manage and lead mechanical and plumbing projects in key areas of London, including the City of London, Westminster, Whitechapel, Marylebone, and Camden Town.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and mechanical systems on a variety of commercial projects.
* Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring work is completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
* Provide technical guidance to fitters and other operatives on-site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Monitor and report on project progress, issuing weekly and monthly updates to ensure the project stays on track.
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards, promoting a safe working environment at all times.
* Liaise with the project management team and clients, delivering updates and addressing any concerns or issues.
Key Requirements:
* SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.
* Plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role, ideally within the plumbing and mechanical industry.
* Strong knowledge of commercial projects, with previous experience in a commercial environment being highly desirable.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
* Desirable: Experience working on large-scale mechanical and plumbing projects within the commercial sector.
* Must be willing to work on-site in the London area and oversee project progression.
