We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Hewell, a category B Prison located in Redditch.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 18:30
Weekends and Bank Holidays: 08:30 - 17:30
You will work a fixed rolling shift pattern, working 14-15 days per month:
Week 1: 4 days including weekends
Week 2: 3 days weekdays only

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £27,247 - £32,346 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.
* Hold direct patient contact, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison services needs.
* Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications required
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
