A leading mechanical and electrical building services engineering contractor is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the successful delivery of mechanical installations. The company specializes in large-scale commercial, healthcare, education, pharmaceutical, hospitality, and public sector projects across the UK.
Role Overview:
The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for managing the on-site installation of mechanical systems, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and ventilation.

Ensure all work is completed to project specifications, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.

Lead and coordinate mechanical teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.

Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and quality control checks.
*
Work closely with project managers to align schedules and resolve site issues.
*
Manage materials, equipment, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
*
Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to on-site teams.
*
Ensure compliance with building regulations and company policies.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in the building services or construction industry.
*
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation techniques, and relevant regulations.
*
Ability to manage and lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
*
Experience in coordinating subcontractors and ensuring work quality.
*
Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
*
Valid CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
*
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
