Here at ISS, as one of the UK's largest Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to expand our engineering workforce dedicated to a major account in the utilities sector.
The account consists of corporate offices, depots, and small infrastructure buildings, where we complete electrical, mechanical, and fabric maintenance services, plus small project/install work.
Your focus will be on Mechanical and HVAC-related maintenance, both planned and reactive, completing jobs from plumbing to air conditioning, as well as working on pumps, motors, water cooling systems, and more, plus some minor fabric maintenance.
There is also plenty of project work to support on, some of which can be taken as overtime. Your region to cover will be Scotland's central belt, with some irregular travel further afield, primarily focusing on Glasgow, Livingston, Falkirk, and Edinburgh.
This role best suits a qualified Mechanical Engineer with some maintenance experience, keen to develop their career with a world-class employer, and willing to take some overtime (1 weekend a month).
Responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking the day-to-day PPM and reactive maintenance of client sites to ensure their functionality, compliance, and efficient operation.
2. Ensuring that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
3. Maintaining all mechanical systems to requisite standards.
4. Ensuring water systems comply with the requirements of the L8 ACOP.
5. Maintaining compliance of equipment and detailed record keeping for all tasks.
6. Ensuring suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance.
7. Issuing permits to work for high-risk activities and ensuring appropriate controls are adhered to.
8. Preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
9. Providing a safe and healthy working environment and ensuring compliance with all Company and Client policies and procedures.
10. Contributing to a call-out rota for the mobile team by being available for call-out when designated.
We need from you:
1. Mechanical qualifications plus some maintenance experience.
