Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team to cover maternity leave for 12-16 months. Ideally we need this role to start in Late January/February 2025 to allow plenty of time for a full handover and time spent with our current Marketing Manager. This will be a hybrid role working remote, Bristol and Chippenham. ( An average of 2 days per week in the office)
The Marketing Manager role requires a broad knowledge and experience of marketing methods, tools, leadership and strategy to support business growth. This covers a wide range of activities including marketing campaigns and promotional planning, website merchandising and UX, CRM, social media and brand management.
Part of the Marketing and eCommerce team, this role is responsible for managing and mentoring 4 roles within Marketing; Digital Marketing Lead, Marketing Assistant, Copywriter and Graphic Designer. This role works closely with the Marketing Director to develop marketing strategies, campaigns, promotions and to develop the Marketing Manager’s team. This role also works closely with the eCommerce Manager to ensure we give customers an exceptional experience when shopping with us on the website.
Duties and Responsibilities

You will be part of lots of projects to deliver on the marketing team objectives but also business growth objectives. We’re ambitious for what we want to achieve in the next 12 months and there will be lots to get stuck in with and flex your skills.
* Grow website revenue and CR
* Increase positive UX on the website
* Grow email revenue (working closely with Marketing Assistant)
* Increase brand awareness
KPIs and metrics:
You’re a data enthusiast and use data to hand to continuously assess and improve marketing plans to meet objectives and will report on this on a regular basis including to stakeholders internally
* Website revenue metrics performance
* Website usability and product performance
* Email flow and campaign performance
* Brand campaign performance
* Promotions performance
Strategies you are responsible for:
You will work closely with the Marketing Director to plan strategies, projects and campaigns for the marketing team.
* Promotions Planning and Campaign Management – including full rollout of assets, advertising plans, reporting and team communication
* Customer Retention and Loyalty – utilising our marketing channels to bring customers back to engage with and buy from us again
* Brand Management and Awareness – a big focus for us this year is to establish a clear brand identity and help more customers discover us. You will be responsible for this and have solid experience in this area and using a wide range of marketing channels.
* Email Marketing – we have a growing subscriber based and want to encourage customer engagement, loyalty and retention through segmented and well designed email campaigns and workflows. You will be responsible for the strategic oversight and use your expertise in this area to support the team in delivering on that.
* Digital PR Campaigns – which is being utilised for brand awareness and link building. You will be working with an outside consultant to deliver on these campaigns and supporting your team to produce the content required.
* Website Merchandising - ensuring our products look their best and we’re promoting the right products to the right customer. Making it as easy as possible for customers to search and navigate the site to find what they want.
* Content Creation – from social media content and influencers to blogs and on site SEO content. You’ll be responsible for our content strategy and directing your team to implement these plans and share their ideas too.

* Digital Marketing Lead > responsible for social media management, influencer strategy, product launch packs and product image briefs, brand support, social ads support, content studio strategy
* Marketing Assistant > responsible for email and SMS management and creation inc. staff newsletter, influencer outreach and management, product tester club, staff giveaways, helping with the content studio, assisting with video and content creation
* Graphic Designer > responsible for creating assets for various projects inc. website banners, infographics, ads, emails, adverts, brand book
* Senior Marketing Exec > responsible for written content creation inc. product descriptions, SEO and for managing our PR strategy
Essential skills:
* Have been in a Digital Marketing Manager or similar role for at least 1-2 years
* Direct digital marketing experience
* Strong leadership experience
* Super organised
* Email marketing
Nice to have skills but full training provided:
* Website merchandising
* ECommerce experience
* Have experience working on various marketing campaigns within a wide range of media
* Social media experience
* Branding experience
* Excel and data analysis skills are a key part of this role, monitoring performance across various KPIs
