About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance, part of Benefact Group, is looking for a Specialist Fraud Consultant to join our Gloucester office on a hybrid basis. This newly created role involves handling a mixed caseload of property and liability fraud claims and supporting our teams with referrals. Responsibilities include setting fraud strategy, driving indemnity savings, concluding successful matters, and providing training to colleagues. The role also offers strategic insights into technology needs and process changes as part of our continuous improvement programme.

Key responsibilities
* Claims Management:
o Handle a mixed caseload of property and liability fraud claims.
o Drive indemnity savings and ensure successful resolution of fraud cases.
o Liaise with suppliers to set and implement fraud strategy and KPIs.
o Make critical decisions on taking fraud cases to trial, balancing customer and business interests.
* Training and Development:
o Provide training and support to staff on fraud detection and prevention techniques.
o Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team capabilities.
o Deliver internal and external audit requirements across claims teams, broker delegated authority arrangements, and supply chain.
* Strategic:
o Offer market insights and strategic views on fraud tools and detection techniques.
o Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in fraud detection and prevention.
o Benchmark fraud detection performance against other market providers.
o Develop and implement risk control measures including fraud standards and compliance.
o Collaborate with underwriting teams to share fraud insights and enhance screening.
o Drive the development of processes enforcing a zero-tolerance approach to fraud.
* Data Analysis:
o Utilize data literacy skills to analyze fraud patterns and trends.
o Implement data-driven strategies to mitigate fraud risks.
o Support the Claims Risk and Performance Manager with MI reporting.
* Collaboration:
o Work closely with the Claims Risk and Performance Manager to align fraud prevention strategies with business goals.
o Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance fraud detection and prevention measures.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* High levels of personal organization and accuracy, with the ability to manage own workload.
* Proactive with a desire to continuously improve.
* Competent IT and data skills, including Microsoft suite.
* Commitment to deliver exceptional service as an individual and as part of a team.
* Understanding of relevant regulations to deliver good customer outcomes.
* Understanding of data protection and confidentiality importance.
* ACII/DIP/role relevant qualification or commitment to achieve within an agreed timescale.
* In-depth insurance technical knowledge.
* Experience managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to build collaborative, productive relationships.
* Able to act as a coach, empowering others in a commercial environment.
* Experience analyzing and producing relevant reports.
