Job Description:
We are looking for dynamic and passionate people to join our NCS team as Team Leaders. As a Team Leader, you’ll lead and motivate a team of up to fifteen young people to complete an NCS Community Experience programme, delivering programmes that give young people 15 – 16 years old the life skills to transition into adulthood. You’ll support young people from initial application through to programme completion, helping them to develop the skills to seize opportunities and face the future with confidence, build an appreciation and tolerance of different views and perspectives, and be more actively engaged in civic life.
You’ll support managers to continually improve programme content, and ensure that we are maximising on opportunities to build on existing relationships with external partners to increase the impact of our programmes, playing a key role in helping us deliver on the core objectives of NCS Community Experience Programmes, which are:
1. Develop life skills and support independent living
2. Build employability and work-readiness
3. Provide opportunities for volunteering and social action
4. Enable social mixing of young people from all backgrounds
There are multiple roles available across the West Midlands and Northwest, all of which can be delivered at hours to suit you (across evening and weekends during term time, or throughout the week during holidays). See the full job description for more information about this role.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need:
1. Experience of working directly with young people from a wide variety of backgrounds
2. Experience of planning, delivery and evaluation of activities for and with young people
3. Experience and understanding of Health and Safety, Safeguarding and data handling practices
