Full-time, Open-ended LU Arts is seeking an Arts Programme Events Officer to produce our programme of creative events and opportunities for students, staff and the general public. This consists of workshops, tuition, performances, short courses, scholarships and the provision of facilities across a range of art forms, including the visual arts, music, performance and creative writing. Issues of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion are to be embedded across the programme. The successful candidate will also support the delivery of other aspects of LU Arts’ work. This may include events and commissions led by Radar, our contemporary arts programme; acquisitions and commissions for the University’s arts collection; exhibitions in the Martin Hall Exhibition Space; and the work of the marketing team. The successful candidate will have experience of planning and delivering events, an enthusiasm for working in a campus environment, and a good understanding of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion as it relates to creative events. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and administrative skills, including the ability to manage a budget. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required to support the delivery of events. They will be a key member of the LU Arts Team and collaborate with colleagues across the University.
