Hopkins Architects are currently recruiting for a Business Development and Bid Coordinator to join its award-winning, design-led practice.
Working with the Communications Team, you will co-ordinate the practice’s business development and bid process, including SQ, RFP, and ITT responses and architectural presentations.
This is an important and demanding role suited to a creative, ambitious, and hardworking individual prepared to work to tight deadlines. You will have the skills and ability to achieve and maintain high standards of work, interacting as necessary with architectural teams and senior staff.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Knowledge and an interest in architecture is essential.
Excellent InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator skills are essential (CS experience preferred).
S U M M A R Y O F D U T I E S / T A S K S:
Bid Management
1. Responsible for the management of bid process and schedule.
2. Producing requests for information & proposals, bids, and submissions.
3. Co-ordination of architects’ input to ensure deadlines are met.
4. Maintaining the resources and information archive including practice and project text, CVs, brochures, and publications.
5. Maintaining sample texts and text library.
6. Prepare monthly analysis of bid activity for Principals.
Business Development
1. Reviewing and tracking new opportunities.
2. Maintain and contribute to the development of practice’s CRM database.
3. Research business areas for specific events or marketing campaigns.
4. Develop practice’s approach to CRM, hospitality, networking, direct mail outs, etc.
5. Supporting business development initiatives including researching clients and opportunities.
6. Supporting sector marketing pushes.
7. Implementing graphic continuity across the office.
T E C H N I C A L S K I L L S / Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S R E Q U I R E D :
1. 2+ years experience in a similar role (including bid and competition submissions).
2. Excellent InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator skills essential.
3. Familiarity with a CRM preferred.

1. A confident and approachable communicator, able to advise and work with senior architectural staff to facilitate best outcomes.
2. Good writer, able to confidently manipulate texts for a range of audiences and able to translate factual, architectural descriptions into readable and accessible prose.

4. Excellent project-management skills.
5. Excellent time management skills, and ability to manage conflicting or multiple deadlines.
6. Familiar with, and able to handle, pressure of deadlines.
7. Team player, willing to help out with other tasks within the team if necessary.
