The 6G National Research Programme is at the forefront of pioneering research and development in the field of 6G technologies. As part of the Communications Hub for Empowering Distributed Cloud Computing Applications and Research (CHEDDAR), we are focused on advancing the integration of UK expertise in communications and networking to maintain the country's leadership in 6G technologies.
Our research is generously funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Department of Science, Innovation, and Technologies (DSIT).
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts nationwide and contribute to groundbreaking projects in the field. We are seeking two motivated and skilled Research Assistants to join our team and lead the research efforts in the domain of Energy Efficient design of Open Radio Access Network (ORAN). As part of the team, you will work alongside a diverse group of researchers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of 6G technology.
Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead research initiatives aimed at developing machine learning (ML) models for energy efficient operation of ORAN, contributing to the advancement of 6G networks. Holding an MSc in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or a closely allied discipline, you will have a background in system level modelling and in programming with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Rust, C/C++).
