We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Contracts Managerto oversee the full lifecycle of all our digital contracts, controlling spend and ensuring we are getting full value for money from the contracts to ensure that applications, software, and hardware maintains its supportability to reduce the risk of successfully cyber-attack. Currently approx. 75 contracts totalling £30m
Working across multiple teams within the Digital and Performance directorate the role will be responsible for managing the contract life-cycle across all contract types, supporting application rationalisation and the work to create future roadmaps. This post will own the list of products in use within the organisation and help determine breakpoints in contracts to enable planning. The role will ensure that the directorate is compliant with licensing agreements, consider how we rationalise the software, and plan for contract expiry.
The role will involve coordinating procurement activities, managing software, applications and hardware assets, ensuring compliance with governance protocols. You will be responsible for overseeing the submission of proposals through various governance committees, ensuring alignment with organisational policies, and managing the purchase, deployment, tracking, and renewal of applications and software licenses. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, an understanding of trust procurement processes, and an understanding in software asset management (SAM).
What You’ll Do
• Manage and optimise the full contract lifecycle using advanced digital platforms.
• Working with our Procurement team to draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure clarity, compliance, and mutual benefit.
• Monitor compliance and mitigate risks, keeping us ahead of contract requirements.
• Maintain a centralised software asset management (SAM) system to track all application and software purchases, usage, and expiration dates.
• Generate reports on procurement activities, contract performance, application and software asset usage for senior management.
• Manage the purchase, deployment, and renewal of applications, software licenses, ensuring compliance with license agreements.

Contract Management:
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, working with colleagues in the Procurement department for application, hardware and software-related purchases. Work closely with internal stakeholders to define contract needs and specifications and maintain accurate records of contracts.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, ensuring efficient and effective contract management. Building a solid understanding of strategic contracts, ensuring regular Service Level Agreement (SLA) meetings are held, documented and compliance with contract terms are monitored and contract deliverables are delivered.
