Position Summary In this position you will be part of a fast paced & highly driven team that defines, sets, guides and implements the ecommerce strategy for Energizer Holdings in key markets and key customers across Europe. You will lead a team of three Amazon Business Account Managers who are empowered to drive profitable business growth. The Channel Director, Amazon Modern Markets, leads Customer strategy, activation, and delivers business results across all three of Energizer Holdings' categories - Batteries, Automotive, and Portable Lights. The role leads across six markets today, with an aspiration to expand into additional markets to drive incremental growth. Responsibilities Universal Accountabilities - Set and achieve the sales, financial planning and customer contribution target - Develop and execute annual business plans that efficiently achieves customer & Energizer goals/objectives - Communicate industry and competitor developments and recommend adjustments in business plan and tactics to aggressively respond to changes; lead response execution - Manage overall P&L for their scope of responsibility and deliver financial targets - Communicate regularly with all stakeholders, both internal (ENR) and external (customer) - Talent Management: Motivate, develop and align the capability of the commercial team to the business' needs. If relevant, identify and develop successors to key roles, agree annual goals with team members and manage performance. Demonstrate Leadership, Influence, Collaboration, Change management Specific Accountabilities - Customer development: Within Amazon EU, develop and implement strategies that will lead to transformational growth whilst maintaining the base business - Take responsibility for the trade channel dimension of the business/brand planning process to ensure that agreed programs and plans are tailored to meet customer needs - Build multi-level and multi-functional contacts with major customers to raise the profile of the Energizer brands and Company. - Manage the Annual Vendor Negotiations with Amazon across all three business categories - Customer promotions - Oversee negotiations with Amazon EU on promotion planning and execution in store to support the overall performance of their business scope. - Collect data from external sources, review outcomes and capture lessons learned into future plans to support the post-promotion evaluation and review. - Trade terms and pricing - Take a lead in developing the commercial strategy and preparation of pricing strategy, discounts and other trade terms for their customers in line with Global guidance. - Actively ensure steering and budgeting of trade allowances and oversee the management of deflators including invoice and deduction approvals. - Forecasting - Project customer/channel gross profit and loss (volumes, revenues and gross margin) and submit for annual business planning - Develop an accurate sales forecast and ensure that account managers maintain effective communication with Demand Management and Brand teams to deliver agreed sales and operation planning targets - Manage the activities of the team assigned - Review the development & management of annual Business Plan and execution. Manage monthly reporting and recommendations to deliver expected sales and GM plan - Foster strong customer relations with senior leadership at main customers and key customer internal support teams including finance, supply chain, operations, shopper activation, retail and sales planning to ensure long term partnership that promotes sales growth - Collaborate with Energizer Customer Supply Chain Team and Customer Planning Team to drive initiatives, regular status meetings and ensure forecast accuracy - May also perform additional duties as assigned What we are looking for Required Skills and Experience Experience - University degree or equivalent experience - Min 10 years of relevant business experience in sales, marketing, or related area - Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business/account plans - Large multi-market customer experience (e.g., Amazon, Tesco) - Understanding of team leadership and talent management - Experience in leading, influencing, and implementing change within an organization - Used to working in a multi-national, complex and matrix environment - Understanding of Category Management dynamics - P&L Management - High level of emotional intelligence Technical Skills - Negotiation skills - internally and externally - Commercial delivery partnered with a strategic mindset - Must be comfortable communicating with senior leaders and building relational skills, both internally and externally - In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis - Solid acumen of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes - Ability to manage trade budget, volume forecasting - Understand the P&L and the ability to understand decisions can have on the P&L - Strong communication and presentation skills - Proficient knowledge and use of MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint), Nielsen and/or IRI.
